A rather strange bug on Google's Translate tool earlier this month replaced the name of actor Heath Ledger, who died tragically a few weeks ago, with the name of another actor -- Tom Cruise on all English to Spanish queries.
For example, if you were to enter "I will miss Heath Ledger" the Google Translate would give you "Voy a perder Tom Cruise."
After reports from users, Google finally fixed, what is called, the "internal issue with Google Translate."
It appeared to be the work of a bored Google employee, and interestingly only affected the name of actor Heath Ledger and the English to Spanish translation functionality.
All other language translations worked fine and did not replace Ledger's name with that of Cruise.
