Date With Anne Hathaway Auctioned Off For $12,000

Three fans put down $12,000 for a 'date' with 'Rachel Getting Married' actress Anne Hathaway (photosAnne Hathaway photos) at an fundraiser in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

"I'm not usually very forward, but I thought if there was ever a crowd for me to do something like this, this is my crowd so I would like to auction myself off for drinks somewhere fabulous and basically get you totally sh-t faced. Tell me what I'm worth," Hathaway announced on stage.

"I'm blushing," Hathaway said surprised by the bids coming in. "Wow, I feel really good right now. Seven thousand dollars? I could not get a date to the prom!"

All money raised from the event went to the Trevor Project, which operates a gay youth crisis helpline.

In an interview following the event, Hathaway said that she would get married if she met the right person but it wasn't easy coming off a break-up: "Of course, like everyone, I'm kind of going through a moment where I'm like, 'Do I even believe in marriage? What’s going on?' You know, as you do when you're fresh from a break up. I do think eventually someday, if I met the right person, I would get married."

"My parents, they've been married for 28 years... so I know it's possible."
