Adam Sandler made an appearance on the 'Late Show' last night and shared quite a few laughs with David Letterman.
Sandler was there to promote his Christmas movie 'Bedtime Stories', also starring Keri Russell.
"You know what happened there, Dave," said Sandler of how the idea for the family movie came about. "I have kids and I was watching television with my little daughter and I was like, I mean, this is so disgusting... of what is on television... it's smutty, it's gross and I realized it was one of my movies. So I said we gotta make a nice movie for the children."
Sandler also spoke about the latest addition to his family: "Yeah, she's a cute little girl." Letterman interjected, "Two little girls though? A lot of people would look at you and say you shouldn't have kids at all, and now you've got two."
"The reason I had two was the first one I screwed up bad. I said let me try that again. I got a nice little girl at home. Her name is Sunny. Me and my wife liked the name, but my mother didn't. 'That's a nickname' she kept saying. 'That's not a name, that's a nickname. You gotta give your child a real proper name and if you want to call her Sunny, fine.' So on the birth certificate we put down 'Sunday night football'. You gotta take care of momma."
"It's shocking," Sandler said about having a second child. "It feels like you cheated on your first kid, you know? She acts kind of like that. She'll come up to me: 'What did you do last night? Who were you with? Yeah, was she cool?"
"But, no really, I have girls, I have a wife, I have a female dog. I have it all happening. I said to myself when I was a youth, that I wanna go to Hollywood, become a huge star and live in a mansion with nothing but chicks and it all came true."
