Danny DeVito: Shoe Would've Hit Bush If Iraqis Played Baseball: [ send to a friend ] Danny DeVito was asked whether he would've thrown a shoe at President George Bush, like an Iraqi reporter did last week, if he had the chance.
"I thought it was good," DeVito said of the incident. "I would make sure I took my orthotics out though before I did it." Asked if he would waste an expensive pair of shoes to throw it at Bush, DeVito replied "No, my knockarounds. I'll do the knockaround shoes." "I thought the guy did a great job. You know, the Iraqis are not big on baseball so you gotta give him a break." "Otherwise he would have nailed him... but you gotta give it to Bush, he ducked really well."
