A day after Megan Fox [photos] and Brian Austin Green called off their engagement, comes word that 'Girls Next Door' star Holly Madison [photos] and illusionist Criss Angel have split up.
"Criss and Holly are no longer a couple," confirms her publicist, Steve Flynn. "They remain very close friends and wish each other the very best."
The duo went public last October after Holly Madison ended her relationship with 82-year-old Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, quit her job at the magazine and moved out of the mansion. At the time, they were seen walking hand-in-hand and engaged in a makeout tour of Las Vegas night clubs.
"She was very much in love with him and they're still very close friends," says a source close to the former couple, adding that the split was mutual. It was a tough decision for her to make and come back to L.A. and pursue her career."
"She still has very intense feelings for him but she felt she couldn't devote 100 percent of her time in Vegas and his career at the expense of her career and her goals."
Holly Madison was widely known to be Hefner's number one girlfriend. The 82-year-old, who is now dating 19-year-old twins, described her as "the love of my life" who he had "expected to spend the rest of my life with her" soon after their break-up.
