Oregon Man Shoots Himself During 'Watchmen'

A 24-year-old man shot and killed himself inside an Oregon movie theater during a midnight showing of 'The Watchmen'.

There were about reportedly at least ten other people in the theater at the time, according to police.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was seated in the back corner of the Regal Cinema in Eugene with the closest person said to be two rows away.

Others in the theater reported hearing a 'popping sound' roughly half-way through the film. Soon after, the man was discovered in the back of the theater with a gunshot wound to the head and the manager contacted police. Officers were on scene for about three hours.

There's no word on whether it was planned move on the man's part and if a note was left behind, or whether the dark movie, and time of night may have had any role to play in his decision.
