Asked if she believes her looks are a drawback when it comes to casting, Biel tells the June issue of 'Allure' magazine: "Yeah, it really is a problem. I have to be blunt."
"I just want an opportunity," says Biel. "If you don't like the audition, then don't hire me! But if you don't want to even see me -- that's hurtful. And why? You know nothing about me."
"I'm in there with everybody else, fighting for the good parts. Yes, 'The Illusionist' has made a difference -- but a huge, massive difference, so I can pick and choose what I want? No."
"I just want an opportunity. If you don't like the audition, don't hire me! But if you don't want to even see me -- that's hurtful."
She tells the mag her feelings for boyfriend Justin Timberlake are strong, despite the attention it has brought her way, but she's not sure what's in store.
"I mean, you love who you love! It's not like you meet somebody one day and say, 'OK, I'm not going to put up with his fame!' or 'Yes, I am going to put up with his celebrity.' You can’t choose that. It just happens to you."
"But I have no idea if I want to get married. I have a lot to do, careerwise."
Biel also talks about the process of selecting a body double due to the no-nudity clause she used to have in her contracts, until she decided to go nude in 'Powder Blue', but not before some serious training for her role as a stripper.
"That was a weird experience," she says. "I tried to get breasts that I thought were most similar to mine. I mean, we're not dealing with a whole lot going on here. I didn't want anyone who was ridiculously big. But a little smaller and perkier in the butt? Okay, I did want that."
