Laurence Fishburne's character on 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' will be getting "a little bit of a wardrobe makeover" next season, according to CBS' entertainment president.
Nina Tassler says in talking with fans about the addition of Fishburne as Dr. Raymond Langston the network found "they really like and respect him, they just want to see him a little more comfortable in his clothes."
"I think what you're looking for is wardrobe that reflected him being more comfortable in his environment."
"I mean, he came as an outsider coming in, so his clothes, you know, he was in suits, he was a little stiff, he wore his glasses. In the coming season, you'll see him in his, you know, CSI garb."
"His glasses aren't on. He's much more relaxed, much more comfortable. You know, he's a father figure much in the way Gil Grissom was, where people would seek Gil out, because he had a certain air of expertise."
"He was more comfortable in the lab but now he's been there, so he's more comfortable. Langston has really thrown himself into being a CSI, so his look will change to reflect that."
CBS also announced that Laurence Fishburne will be crossing over into an episode of 'CSI: Miami' and 'CSI: NY' in a storyline that will span all three shows over one week this fall. Although no details on the plot have been released, we expect it to air during November sweeps.
'CSI: Miami' returns on September 21, 'CSI: NY' on September 23, and the original 'CSI', which sees the return of Jorja Fox this season, premieres on the 24th.
