The CW has cancelled its low-rated drama 'The Beautiful Life', starring Mischa Barton, after just two episodes.
After it was unable to reach the 2 million mark in its debut, the show was seen by even fewer viewers -- just 1 million -- in its second episode.
This despite being given a solid pairing with veteran reality series 'America's Next Top Model'.
To put that into perspective, that's less than one-third of the number of followers executive producer Ashton Kutcher advertises to on a daily basis via Twitter. The show featured Barton as a model who is struggling to keep on top and is danger of slipping.
Expect 'The Beautiful Life's Wednesday night timeslot to be filled with reruns of the network's 'Melrose Place' reboot for the time being. Production on the show, which was in the middle of filming its seventh episode, was shut down Friday.
Kutcher did his best to promote the show before its debut with nude poses from stars Sara Paxton and Ashley Madekwe.
However, even though Mischa Barton vehemently denied she had a mental breakdown and blamed it on 'terrible' tooth surgery, the negative publicity she received were too much to overcome.
