'Dancing with the Stars' mainstay Julianne Hough won't be returning to the ballroom dancing competition next season.
"I'm not going back next season," the 21-year-old said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest. "But I love that show."
As for whether she'll be back for the following year, Hough said she'll "cross that bridge when we get to that."
"I'm completely battered and bruised," Hough said as she admitted it will be nice to take a bit of a break from the gruelling competition. "It looks like I've got rug burn all over my body!"
It's a busy year coming up for the two-time winner.
She joined the cast of musical Burlesque opposite Christina Aguilera [photos] last week and will be starting work on the upcoming remake of 'Footloose' with Chace Crawford in the next few months. Filming is scheduled to begin in March of next year.
