Kathy Griffin isn't sure whether she still has a job at CNN after she dropped the F-Bomb on the news network's New Year Eve special.
"I don't know if I got canned," she told Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show' as she joined him by phone.
"I don't feel I have really done a job well until I get fired. Am I fired from this phone call? Tell me what's going on."
Griffin said she was just trying to explain how the Balloon Boy's first name -- Falcon -- sounded like a cuss word.
"It was really, I think, a miscommunication because we were talking a lot about the Balloon Boy, Falcon Heene. I was amused at how during the worldwide coverage of the story you could hear his first name pronounced in many different ways."
"His own mother has an accent and there were times that it sounded almost as if she pronounced the name of her own child Falcon as a verb that adult film actors use when they're f---ing," she said. "It's like what Shakespeare did - I am a wordsmith."
Griffin went on to use the F-Word three times in her explanation for using the F-Word on CNN.
