Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have split up after five years together.
The two made the announcement via each of their Twitter accounts this afternoon.
"Jenny and I have just ended our 5 year relationship," first tweeted Carrey. "I'm grateful for the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S'okay!"
McCarthy then followed with a message of her own: "I'm so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane (Carrey's daughter) and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart."
Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy first hooked up in 2005 and quickly became a close-knit pair.
Over the years, Carrey also grew close to McCarthy's son, Evan, who has Autism. "He taught me how to love," Carrey said last year. "And without Evan I might never have seen the greatness of Jenny's spirit."
"Jim has the capacity to love and to take on something that most men would completely run away from," added Jenny.
