Donald Trump Defends Miss USA Lingerie Photoshoot
Carrie Prejean, former Miss California USA, lost her crown when topless photos of her emerged last year. But this year the pageant has decided to have the contestants strip down for their own photoshoot before the competition. The Miss USA contestants pose in lacy lingerie, fishnet tights and bikinis while rolling around in a bed for their official 'glam' portraits. And although many purists aren't happy the competition is making contestants pose in lingerie, Donald Trump, who owns the Miss Universe organization, says he doesn't see a problem. "I think they've gone maybe a little over the top this year. These pictures are pretty wild," he admits. "But the girls are incredible." "We are in a different age. They are a little bit sexy but I'll tell you what -- everybody's watching, so I have no problems with it. If you look at Miss America, it's now off network television -- and we're doing better than ever, so I really have no problem with it." Trump says the difference between these shots and the Prejean's photos is that there is "no open exposure... they are very artsy and very beautiful." The pageant will be broadcast Sunday night on NBC. Check out the Miss USA lingerie photoshoot and video below:
