This after TV Land's first original sitcom, 'Hot in Cleveland' starring White, got off to a quick start Wednesday night, by drawing 4.8 million viewers in its debut.
That made the comedy the most-watched telecast in the cable network's history, despite it airing at 10 PM.
But it didn't stop there, Nielsen reports that 2.4 million viewers also tuned in to its encore broadcast immediately afterward.
The much-publicized new series stars the 88-year-old as a feisty caretaker, who has to deal with three friends who relocate from Los Angeles to Cleveland.
Fellow sitcom veterans Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick star as friends in the throwback-feel sitcom.
