'Frasier' Star Kelsey Grammer's Wife Files for Divorce: [ send to a friend ]
Kelsey Grammer and his wife of nearly 13 years are divorcing.
Grammer revealed the split in a series of messages posted on Twitter.
"Hello everyone thank you for your support and yes it's true, Camille and I are divorcing," he said. "I ask you to respect our privacy in these difficult times."
"I would like to add that I know people will be tempted to say some mean things," Grammer continued. "I realize that it is human nature but I ask that you be particularly sensitive to the feelings of my wife. She has been a terrific partner for many years and should not be treated with any disrespect at this time."
"Things fell apart between us. That is all," he explained. "She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children."
"Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it. I appreciate your kindness for all parties in this matter."
Camille Donatacci, a former Club MTV dancer and Playboy model, is seeking primary physical custody of the couple's 8-year-old daughter, Mason, and 5-year-old son, Jude, in addition to child and spousal support. Their two children were both born via a surrogate.
