18-Yr-Old Filipino Singer Undergoes Cosmetic Procedure for 'Glee' Debut

Filipino singer Charice Pempengco has had noninvasive cosmetic procedures in advance of her debut on the second season of 'Glee'.

The 18-year-old Charice, who made a name for herself after performing on Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey's talk shows, underwent a 30-minute Thermage procedure, according to her cosmetic surgeon.

Thermage is a single treatment skin tightening and skin contouring procedure. It is said to firm and tightening loose skin to give a younger looking appearance.

But why would an eighteen year old undergo the procedure?

Surgeon Vicki Belo says it was to make the up and coming singer's "naturally round face" more narrow.

Charice says she opted for the makeover "to look fresh on camera."

"All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure," she admits

She will start filming the show's second season at the end of July.
