Angelina Jolie [photos] says travelling to different countries as the UN's Goodwill Ambassador can get pretty lonely.
"I'll talk to my family," the 35-year-old actress tells CNN's Sanjay Gupta.
"I talk to Brad (Pitt)... he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He's been here as well, he came with me after the earthquake."
"But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to."
Jolie arrived in Pakistan earlier this week to highlight the need for continued aid for the millions of flood victims.
"One-fifth of Pakistan is under water and the threat of disease now looms for 20 million affected people," she explains. "This is not just a humanitarian crisis, it is an economic and social catastrophe. The more support we can give, the greater number of tents, food, clean water and medicine will get to the people in need."
As for whether her children understand why she's out of the country so much, Jolie says: "I tell my children why I'm going and I explain to them why I was packing flashlights and food. They help me pack some things."
"My children are from a lot of these countries, so I want them to understand what's happening in Africa. I want the boys to understand what's happening if there's something current in their countries, and for all of them to know about each other's countries as well."
