Regis Philbin Delays His Retirement Until November

Regis Philbin will now retire from 'Live with Regis and Kelly' in November.

Philbin had originally planned to leave the show in August, but changed his mind after some prodding from WABC to promote his sign-off and boost ratings during November sweeps.

No replacement has been named for Philbin, who made the surprise announcement after 28 years on air last month.

He turns 80 on Aug. 25.
