'X-Men: First Class' Trailer Blows Us Out Of The Water (Video)
The first extended trailer for Matthew Vaughn‘s 'X-Men: First Class' has been released. The prequel film, set in the 1960s, charts the beginning of the X-Men saga with a secret history of famous global events. It surmises that before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. It pits the two not as archenemies, but the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men. After seeing the trailer, this film has quickly moved to the top of our summer viewing list alongside comic superhero flick Captain America. 'X-Men: First Class', starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones (photos), Oliver Platt, Jennifer Lawrence (photos), Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender and Kevin Bacon, has a official release date of June 3, 2011.
