Sarah Palin is happy Katie Couric will be leaving her job as anchor of CBS Evening News.
Couric said yesterday that was leaving to pursue "a format that will allow me to engage in more multidimensional storytelling... I have a lot of areas of interest and I want to be able to fulfill all of that."
"Yeah," Palin said on Fox News when asked if she was familiar with the news. "And I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multidimensional storytelling'"
"Versus I guess just the 'straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen storytelling.' More power to her. I wish her well in her 'multidimensional storytelling.'"
Palin told Oprah Winfrey last year she believed that Couric intended to mock her during an interview for the 2008 election.
"She had just interviewed Joe Biden, and he had made mistakes, but those were dismissed," she said. "They were ignored, and she moved on to talk about very substantial issues, and I wish that I would have been given that."
During the interview, Couric asked Palin why Alaska's proximity to Russia meant she had foreign policy experience and what newspapers and magazines she read to form her world view.
A question that a frazzled Palin fumbled with silence followed by, "Um, all of them, any of them." The interview led to a decline in poll numbers as Republicans expressed concern that her name on the ticket may result in an election defeat.
