Russell Crowe is in talks to join Zach Snyder's 'Superman' reboot.
The Oscar-winning actor would play Superman's Kryptonian father Jor-El. A role for which heavyweight Marlon Brando was paid $3.7 million in the 1978 'Superman' movie.
Brando screen time amounted to no more than 15 minutes, but it's not clear how much of a role Crowe may play.
If Crowe signs on, he will join the already stellar cast of Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Michael Shannon as General Zod.
Production on the film is set to begin next month so we should be hearing about who will play the Man of Steel's birth mother soon.
