CBS has announced that the 'Lost' star, who played John Locke, is joining Daniel Dae Kim and the cast of 'Hawaii Five-0' for a pivotal recurring role on the series.
The actor will play a Navy Seal Lt. Commander who trained McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) in Coronado, and served with his father in Vietnam.
The character will also share some answers to the mysteries surrounding the murders of McGarrett's parents.
Filming on the series begins in mid-July and will see O'Quinn return to the location where he filmed 'Lost' for six seasons. He is expected to appear on the season premiere of the crime drama.
O'Quinn recently filmed the Marc Cherry-produced ABC pilot for 'Hallelujah' but the series did not get picked up.
Terry O'Quinn is returning to the island.
