Jonathan May-Bowles, aka Jonnie Marbles, who attacked Rupert Murdoch with a shaving foam pie to the face inside the House of Commons was in a joking mood as he had his turn in court.
The 26-year-old comedian was convicted of assault and causing harassment, alarm and distress for his attack on the 80-year-old News Corp. boss.
Marbles pled guilty to all the charges but it was his comments that drew a smirk from the court.
"I'd just like to say that this is the most humble day of my life," the comedian joked, repeating the exact phrase uttered by Rupert Murdoch when he began his Parliamentary inquisition two weeks ago.
Although some would argue the July 19th hearing was the most humble day of Marbles' life after he got taken down by Wendi Deng, Murdoch's wife.
Wendi leapt across two people before she before Marbles' own pie in his face and yelled "I got him, I got him."
