A day after her reality show was officially cancelled by TLC, Kate Gosselin says she doesn't have any regrets about her tumultuous past few years.
"I know that I'm glad to be divorced and on my own," she says of ex-husband Jon Gosselin in a promo clip for 'Kate Plus 8'. The show's final episode will air on September 12.
"I wouldn't change my marriage because I have eight awesome kids that I would not change," says the 36-year-old. "But people change and they're not who you thought they were and if they're not for you, move on. And I have."
"I don't care if his girlfriends change weekly, yearly, monthly. I don't give it a second thought... more power to him."
"Unless I have to deal with him with the kids, I don't," she continues, "which is good because it keeps the peace. I've always emailed, called or texted, whatever – just about the kids, the best for the kids."
"He's working now, so he's definitely distracted elsewhere, which is good. And he's kept to his two weekends a month. And the kids come home happy, and that's good."
Kate laughs when asked if there's any "jealousy" over ex's current love life. Of course, the promo was taped before her show was cancelled.
Meanwhile, Jon Gosselin is said to be ecstatic his children will finally be off television -- since he was no longer earning a dime from the reality show.
"Jon has been fighting for years to remove them from TV, even taking the matters to the court," says a friend. "He hopes they will finally have the normal, private life he believes is best for them. He wishes the best for Kate in whatever she decides to do."
