Solange Knowles is claiming she was the victim of discrimination after an officer pulled a weapon on her for doing "nothing illegal."
"A police officer just pulled a weapon on me," a furious Knowles writes on Twitter. "I have done nothing illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort."
"I am simply tired of police using arrogance, ego and authority as an offense."
"I'm only tweeting this to raise awareness. I could have left quietly, but I am sick and tired of this scenario being played over and over again... I'm just beyond frustrated with the system."
"It is time to do something about it. I am a mother raising a young black child in America. I'm going to die trying! I have literally had my last leg with discriminating police. Miami police department will be notified."
Solange has filed a complaint for an internal affairs investigation.
But the Miami Beach Police Department says the officer pulled out a weapon not to threaten Solange but deflate the 5-foot long inflatable banana she was carrying, over which she was denied entry into Club Cameo on South Beach.
"Ms. Knowles demeanor caused the officers to escort her across the street to further the conversation," says a spokesperson, "where Ms. Knowles claims one of the officers pulled a 'weapon' on her, not a firearm, and threatened to deflate the banana."
Solange's rep has since confirmed that the 'weapon' was a switchblade. Although Beyonce's younger sister maintains it wasn't right.
"They felt it was inappropriate, the turning point happened when he then took out the switchblade a second time," says the rep. "The blade was less than a couple feet away from Solange and her friends."
"Solange then asked the officer what was it that they did wrong, and he forcefully responded to move. When a taxi pulled up, they got in and headed home... The officer pulled out a weapon, when she had done nothing illegal, disruptive or belligerent."
