While ABC hasn't officially cancelled 'Pan Am', the network has announced it will only produce one more episode of the show for its first season.
ABC had ordered five additional scripts but will only produce one of those for a total of 14 episodes for the first season.
It plans on broadcasting the six unaired episodes beginning this Sunday, with five of them being broadcast in January.
Karine Vanasse had fans of the series thinking it was all but cancelled when she posted on Twitter: "Well, we've received THE call, Pan Am is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we'll give it our all!"
The comment prompted this clarification from ABC: "Nothing has changed. We are not canceling Pan Am. We are still in production and will continue to be in production finishing the original 13 episodes plus one more additional one."
The series, which started so promisingly with 11 million viewers, has been averaging around half that in recent weeks.
Which means it could still be cancelled, but ABC is not prepared to commit just yet.
