Despite not attending Wednesday's 38th annual People's Choice Awards, Katy Perry [photos] was the biggest winner of the night.
The pop star, who cancelled her scheduled appearance on the show just this week, took home the prize in five of her seven nominated categories, including favorite female artist, tour headliner, music video ('Last Friday Night'), song of the year ('ET' with Kanye West) and even TV guest star for her turn on 'How I Met Your Mother'.
The only ones she lost were to Demi Lovato in the favorite pop artist category and favorite animated movie voice for her work in The Smurfs as Smurfette.
"Thank you to everyone who voted for me for the People's Choice tonight!," Perry said on Twitter after the awards show. "We won so many! Now I need to get more books 2 successfully display them!"
The People's Choice Awards were expected to be Perry's first public appearance since Russell Brand filed for divorce but evidently the singer wasn't ready to walk the red carpet solo just yet.
Among the other winners in the numerous categories, 'Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2' earned four awards for favorite movie, action movie, book adaptation and ensemble movie cast.
