Chris Brown Gives 'Ultimate F--k Off' To Critics After Grammy Win

Chris Brown has a message for all the critics who are wondering why the Grammys chose to give the singer not one but two performances at the awards show.

"Hate all you want because I got a Grammy now!," Brown sounded off on Twitter before deleting the post hours later. "That's the ultimate F--k Off!"

"I'm back so watch my back as I walk away from all this negativity," the winner of best R&B Album later added.

But critics weren't the only ones who raised eyebrows, even those in the industry wondered why Brown was given the Grammy platform.

"Chris Brown twice?," Miranda Lambert asked on Twitter. "I don't get it. He beat on a girl… Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys."

Meanwhile, the Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg wrote: "I don't look for the Grammys for moral clarity, but, really? Do the words 'felony assault' mean anything at all?"

The Washington Post's Valerie Strauss also wrote that while people deserve second chances "that doesn't mean they deserve a chance to strut around the Grammy stage a few years after being convicted of felony assault."

The New Yorker's music critic, Sasha Frere-Jones, called it "one of the Grammys' weirdest choices ever."
