Raul Oaida, a Romanian steam and rocket enthusiastic, sent a space shuttle made entirely out of Lego to the edge of space with the help of a hot air balloon.
And he got it all on camera, which he then recovered using a GPS he had sent with the balloon 240 km from its takeoff point.
Oaida travelled to Germany to make the takeoff because authorities in Romania were not as receptive to his experiment.
"I've always been profoundly inspired by spaceflight," says Oaida wrote, "the Lego Shuttle was the only space program I could afford."
