A woman broke into Simon Cowell's house wielding a broken brick and then hid in his bathroom on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old Leanne Zaloumis has been charged with aggravated burglary with the report alleging that she intended to "inflict grievous bodily harm upon a person."
Cowell was said to be watching TV in the bedroom of his London mansion when he heard a loud bang coming from his bathroom and discovered Zaloumis inside with a brick in her hand.
The 'X Factor' judge's security staff hurried in to confine the intruder to a bedroom until police arrived and found her in the wardrobe. Blood marks were said to have been found on the bathroom floor.
"She had smashed her way in through the window and it was unclear how long she had been there or what she was doing," Cowell's rep, Max Clifford, tells The Sun.
"He was shaken up. Strange as it might seem he feels lucky, because it could have been a gun or a knife in her hand."
District Judge James Henderson has ordered Zaloumis detained until her next hearing on June 12.
