Joe Biden Tells Supporters Barack Obama 'Has A Big Stick'

Joe Biden pieced together a rather unfortunate series of words as he addressed New York University students on Thursday.

Referring to President Roosevelt's foreign policy ideal of "speaking softly and carrying a big stick," Biden said Obama lived by the same philosophy.

Although "the timeless advice of Teddy Roosevelt" didn't come out quite that way.

"I promise you, the president has a big stick," Biden said to laughter. "I promise you."
