As it announced eleven new series for its schedule, NBC has quietly cancelled five series to make room for them.
The series that will be missed most by fans will probably be 'Awake'. The cortically acclaimed drama from Kyle Killen, starred Jason Isaacs as a detective who finds he's living two parallel lives after a car accident.
It had struggled in the ratings but given its loyal viewership and what looks to be ramping up to an exciting season finale, hopefully it will be able to find a new home.
The cancellation of 'Harry's Law' was somewhat less obvious. However, given the show's older skewing demographic and consistent underperformance in the key 18-49 demo, NBC opted to take it off the schedule.
The remaining three cancellations were struggling comedies 'Are You There Chelsea', 'Bent' and 'Best Friends Forever'.
