NBC has cast the lead roles for two of its series in development.
Jerry O'Connell has been cast as Herman Munster for NBC's Munsters reboot, currently titled 'Mockingbird Lane'.
The actor will play the patriarch of the family in the series helmed by 'Pushing Daisies' creator Bryan Fuller that will be slightly darker than the original and explore the origins of the family.
The original series, which ran from 1964 to 1966, starred Fred Gwynne and Yvonne De Carlo.
Meanwhile, the network has also cast 'Casino Royale' villain Mads Mikkelsen as its Hannibal Lecter.
The series, which has already received a 13-episode order, will focus on the early days of Lecter's working relationship with FBI agent Will Graham.
The 46-year-old Mikkelsen will star opposite Hugh Dancy in the project.
Mikkelsen just won the best actor prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his role in 'The Hunt' and has also been cast as the villain for the Thor 'sequel'. So it's going to be a busy year for the Danish actor.
