Kate Walsh has confirmed that the upcoming season of 'Private Practice' will be her last.
"This is my last season for Private Practice," the 44-year-old told Bethenny Frankel on her new talk show 'Bethenny'.
"It's been an incredible journey and amazing ride. It's been a long time being Dr. Addison Montgomery. I'm hugely, hugely grateful to Shonda Rhimes and all the fans."
"I'm really excited about the last season. It's bitter sweet. It's a huge chapter of my life. It was eight years…"
ABC has renewed the 'Grey's Anatomy' spin-off for an abbreviated 13-episode season, but insists that it would order more episodes if it does well in the ratings.
"I have been told that I'm not allowed to think of us only doing 13 episodes," creator Shonda Rhimes recently said.
The show will also be missing original cast member Tim Daly when it return for its sixth season.
"Wonderful fans, Shonda informed my agent today that Pete wont be returning for season 6," he said earlier this week on Twitter. "It was a great 5 yrs. R.I.P. Pete Wilder."
