On this Sunday's 'Oprah's Next Chapter', Oprah Winfrey asks 50 Cent why he named his dog after her.
"I heard you have a dog named Oprah," she tells the rapper. "That was not a compliment, right?"
"I love you," he replies with a grin, "you know how they say a dog is a man's best friend?"
50 Cent then admits he chose he name after he felt Oprah was on a campaign against him for using the N-word and degradation in his music.
"At the time, I was just looking at the situation, and I saw I was developing negative feelings for someone who doesn't even know me... and I gave it to the dog," he explains.
"I would see moments when you would discuss your feelings on the culture, and everything that was wrong with the culture was what was on my CD, and I was like, 'Oh, she doesn't like me.'"
"I was saying, 'If I can't be your friend, at least let me be your enemy, so I coexist,'" he adds.
The duo eventually agree to disagree but bury the hatchet.
