R. Kelly owes the IRS $4.8 million in back taxes after ignoring his tax bill for five years.
The 'I Believe I Can Fly' singer did not pay his taxes between 2005 and 2010, according to tax liens filed against him.
He owes $1,472,366.77 for 2005 alone.
The IRS has executed liens of $2,638,77; $1,086,700; and $1,122,694 against him.
But the 45-year-old doesn't appear to be in any hurry to settle his taxes.
"R. Kelly is in the process of working everything out with the government and is confident that all his obligations will be satisfied," the Grammy winner's publicist says in a statement.
