Longtime 'Jeopardy!' host Alex Trebek was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Saturday after suffering a heart attack.
"Trebek is in good spirits and is currently under observation and undergoing further testing," according to a statement released by Sony Pictures Television, which produces the syndicated game show.
"He is expected to fully recover and be back at Jeopardy! when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show's 29th."
The 71-year-old also suffered a minor heart attack in December of 2007.
In a May interview, Trebek hinted that he would probably retired once his current contract comes to an end in 2014.
"A lot of people have been telling me — 'Alex, you've got to go for at least 30," he said. "You've just done 28. Now at least do two more.' So that has a nice ring to it. Put in your 30 and go help people."
