Michael Fassbender has signed on to not only star in but produce an adaptation of video game 'Assassin's Creed'.
Fassbender will play Desmond Miles, a bartender who is a descendant of several lines of assassins in the successful video game franchise.
In the games, the story weaves between present day and ancient times as Miles is able to relive the Crusades, Renaissance and American Revolution periods of history.
It's been a couple of banner years for Fassbender after starring in 'X-Men: First Class', 'Shame', and most recently in 'Prometheus'.
The project is still in early stages so there's currently on story outline, director or release date.
