Kristin Chenoweth [photos] was hospitalized Wednesday after she was injured on the set of CBS' 'The Good Wife'.
The actress, who recently joined the drama, was hit on the head with a piece of lighting equipment.
But things got worse when she fell to the ground and hit her head on the concrete floor.
"This afternoon, while filming a scene for The Good Wife in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place, striking actress Kristin Chenoweth," CBS TV Studios says in a statement.
"She received treatment on the scene by the show's medic until a New York Fire Department emergency medical team arrived and transported her to the hospital."
"All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery."
Chenoweth has a recurring role on the upcoming season as a political reporter who investigates the Peter Florrick campaign and marriage.
