'Mad Men', 'American Horror Story' and 'Hatfields & McCoys' topped the Primetime Emmy Awards nominations announced on Thursday morning.
'Mad Men' will once again compete for Best Drama Series against 'Breaking Bad', 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Downton Abbey', 'Game of Thrones' and 'Homeland'.
Meanwhile, 'American Horror Story' will compete in the TV movie/miniseries category against 'Game Change', 'Hatfields & McCoys', 'Hemingway & Gellhorn', 'Luther', and 'Sherlock: Scandal in Belgravia'.
In all, 'Mad Men' and 'American Horror Story' led the pack with 17 nominations each. The tremendously successful 'Hatfields & McCoys' followed with 16 nods.
