After it was reported that her 3-year-old son used a homophobic slur in a bleeped outburst on their reality show 'Life's a Tripp', Bristol Palin says that wasn't the case.
Tripp's words were directed towards aunt Willow Palin as he shouted: "Go away, you (bleep)!"
But what irritated some viewers was the reaction of both mother and aunt to this outburst as both women were seen restraining themselves from laughing out loudly. The fracas ensued after the toddler was refused access to the hotel pool where they were staying during the filming.
Bristol denies her young son uttered a slur but admits it was an F-word: "As I've said before, I sometimes struggle to raise Tripp. However, he does NOT use slurs. The Huffington Post is reporting that my son said the word 'f-gg-t.'. Let me be clear. I'm not proud of what he did say. Sadly, he used a different 'F' word."
"Tripp is always surrounded by adults - around the campfires with cousins and their friends, at the shop with my dad and his snow machine buddies. He's apparently picked up some language that I'd prefer he not use. On national television or at home."
"Lifetime filmed over 12 months on and off and they caught a moment on film that would cause any parent to be red in the face."
"I do oppose gay marriage," she explains. "I guess the temptation to label my three year old son is just too great for the lefty papers to resist."
