The cast of 'Modern Family' is expected to be back at work to days after five of its cast members filed a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox to void, what they called, their "illegal" contracts.

Producers has scheduled a new table read for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. after five of the six adult cast members, except Ed O'Neill, failed to show up to the originally scheduled table read on Tuesday.

The cast members have agreed to return to production as a "good-will gesture" with the hopes of resolving their salary issues.

Salary negotiations have been going on for months, but the cast members have been unhappy with the offers they have received.

So cast members Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara [photosSofia Vergara photos] filed a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox Television in an effort to void their contracts.

According to the Los Angeles Times, "Motivating the stars is that ABC is raking in hundreds of millions in advertising dollars and 20th Century Fox Television has already sold reruns of 'Modern Family' to cable channel USA for $1.5 million per episode."

The studio confirm that the table read has been rescheduled for tomorrow but did not comment on whether the full cast was expected for the first table read for Season 4.
