'Big Brother' contestant Willie Hantz, who was booted out of the house following a violent outburst, was arrested on Thursday in Lafayette, Louisiana, for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol.
A statement issued by the Lafayette Police Department's spokesman, Corporal Paul L. Mouton, indicated that police were called in at 2:30 in the morning to a parking area, where a fight had ensued after scores of people were exiting various nightclubs in the vicinity.
Hantz was not involved in the fracas but was driving his 2012 Camaro towards the back of the parking lot when he suddenly jumped out of the car and started running. He later refused to undertake a breathalyzer and blood test and was charged with drunken driving.
This is not the first time a member of the Hantz family has been arrested. Willie's brother Russell, who made his mark on 'Survivor' by being a ruthless player, was jailed on a battery charge for shoving a woman at a nightclub in 2010, coincidentally also in Lafayette.
Before his bust, Hantz had informed his Facebook friends about his plans for the night by writing: "McKinley street pub cum get sum laf. Let's get stupid."
Willie Hantz was removed from 'Big Brother' last week after head butting Joe and repeatedly yelling "Hit me! Hit me!".
