Following successful reboots of popular TV series 'Hawaii Five-0', 'Dallas' and 'Beverly Hills 90210', CBS is developing a reboot of 'The Brady Bunch' produced by Vince Vaughn.
As in the original series that aired between 1969 and 1974, the sitcom would center on Bobby Brady, a man with children of his own, remarrying a woman who also has children from a previous marriage.
However, the couple will also have a child of their own and their exes will still be in their lives.
Over the past four decades, 'The Brady Bunch' has spawned several spinoffs, sequels, and films but, if it moves past the script stage, this attempt would be the largest yet to get the sitcom back on television.
It's also possible that stars of the original series, such as Florence Henderson and Maureen McCormick, would come onto the project in alternate roles since Lloyd Schwartz, the son of creator Sherwood Schwartz, will serve as an executive producer.
CBS TV Studios have the rights to the show as it was originally produced by Paramount Television, its predecessor.
Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Productions has been active on television lately, with their latest production 'Sullivan & Son' airing on TBS and showing promising ratings after two weeks.
