Anderson Cooper will return with a revamped version of the 'Anderson' in September.
The tweaked show, now called 'Anderson Live' to highlight its live format, will also change venue from the Time Warner Center to Manhattan's CBS Broadcast Center to integrate a live public audience in an effort to boost ratings.
"Our biggest overall goal for Anderson Live is to take the best elements of daytime and put it in a show that works in 2012," says executive producer Terence Noonan. "Being live plays to Anderson's strengths, providing immediacy and topicality, which allows us to talk about what is going on in the world."
The show will also introduce rotating daily guest hosts, an idea that proved successful for other talk shows during May sweeps. Additionally, it will look to feature real-time feedback from viewers through various social networks.
Some of the names producers have lined up for Cooper's second season, which premieres on September 10, include Richard Gere, Stephen Colbert and Mindy Kaling.
