After not sitting down with Conan O'Brien since his 'Dawson's Creek' days, James Van Der Beek thought he would enjoy a segment with the host.
And it appeared to be going well with the actor talking about his character on ABC's 'Don't Trust the B----- in Apt. 23' -- until the fire alarm started blaring.
"So let me get this straight, James Van Der Beek," Conan quipped. "You wait 14 years — 14 years — 'til it's safe to come back on this show and there's a f–in' fire alarm!"
Conan went to commercial until the crew could take care of the high-pitched screech.
