A French court has ruled in favor of Prince William and Kate Middleton in the Royal's case against French magazine Closer.
In a decision made Tuesday morning, the magazine has been ordered to stop printing further copies of its issue with the Duchess caught topless (uncensored link) on holiday.
It has also been ordered to remove any photos from its website and told not to sell the same to any other publications anywhere in the world. The originals must be handed over to the couple within 24 hours.
French lawyer Aurelien Hammelle had argued that the "highly intimate" photos, taken during the couple's private holiday in the South of France, were a "grotesque breach of privacy."
However, while it is a victory for the Royals in France, various publications around the world have already reprinted the photos so it will do little to quell their spread.
British newspapers have refrained from printing the photos, possibly fearing backlash from the Palace.
