Talk about revenge of the nerd, Ian Terry, the sometimes awkward engineering student from Pittsburgh beat out veteran Dan Gheesling to be crowned the winner of 'Big Brother' and take home the $500,000 prize.
The 21-year-old, who currently resides in New Orleans, won after facing off against Dan in the final Head of Household competition, where they had to guess how jurors answered questions.
Ian answered the most questions correctly and became the season's final HOH. After evicting Danielle, Dan and Ian faced the jury of the last seven evicted houseguests -- Ashley, Britney, Frank, Joe, Jenn, Shane and Danielle -- to plead their case.
After each of the jury members had the chance to ask the finalists questions, they voted and by a vote of 6 to 1, Ian won the grand prize largely because Dan's conniving gameplay led the jury to resent him.
If Ian hadn't won the HOH, Dan -- who had a final two deal with both Danielle and Ian -- said he had planned to evict the eventual winner as well.
Frank was voted as 'America's Favorite Player', awarding him $25,000.
